-- July 11, 2010, 9:46pm -- CONNECTICON 2010
**So I just got back from the Con.. phew! busy couple of days! Just finished uploading some pics ..need to get some from Teh_Lurv as well, but these should tide you over till then ConnectiCon 2010 ** The con had it's ups and downs... one glaring mistake was they had serious issues with PayPal.. Corrine got screwed out of her pre-reg because of it and was forced to get up and pay full price on the first day instead of just waiting. I can understand if it wasn't CtCon's fault, but really.. they should have compensated people (it wasn't only Corrine that had this problem either) a whole lot more. Bad move. There were some cool costumes as always .. I think I ate a little better this year as Vivo (the hotel cafe) had better prices/menu options ..and we ordered out from better places. We even walked to the Steam City Cafe (highly recommended) which was delicious Another thing about the food though.. Hartford sucks. Seriously. Everything's closed early and there's very little options for eateries.. but we did make do this year better than normal i think. I'm not sure why, but it seemed like there was a ton more rude attendees this year .. Example - we ordered chinese food and went down to the lobby to meet the delivery man... he arrived with orders for a couple people. corrine and I walk over.. Some other dude is there getting his food. He (this other dude) turns to us and very blatantly says "Hey guys, F*** Off" ... No explanation. Nothing. Plain vulgarity. Both of us were dumbfounded at his rudeness. Overall I think it was a good time. I saw a strange rock group called Planetoid who played 70's rock'n'roll .. there was a mediocre 'Geek Comdey Tour' I caught Saturday night. I learned how to play Ticket-To-Ride which was a lot of fun. Got to see my friend Beth who I hadn't seen since she went to China. Met some genuinely friendly con-goers, and had great success with my Homestarrunner costume as well

-- June 25, 2010, 2:22pm -- SUMMER IS HERE
**Well, it's the start of summer finally. Time for cookouts, beaches, biking, and outdoor-thingies .. A lot of which I will largely ingore, but I hope to at least log some time at the beach this year.. Goodness knows I've been planning on going the past few years and have rarely got much time to go. **I've added pictures from my trip to the first Rennaisance Faire of the season .. which was the Silver Kingom faire in Charlton, MA. A very small faire, but we had lots of silly fun as you can see in the pictures here **Strangely I've been following the World Cup pretty heavily this year... Well, most likely due to the fact there's a bit of a friendly betting pool going on in the group at my work. Sadly I drew Nigeria (who are right out), but otherwise it's been quite entertaining. **If you weren't aware, ConnectiCon is rapidly approaching. The preliminary program guide is available for download on the site as well. Lots of fun diversions listed it looks like! yay! I so can't wait for vacation! **Speaking of vacations, I'm still trying to rid myself of 2 old PCs so I can get a netbook. A netbook would be very handy for vacation. Definitely want to get one before DragonCon this september

-- May 14, 2010, 2:20pm -- MAY UPDATE
**So now it's May and I haven't updated this website in ages! My bad. First off I'd like to wish Evenstar a Happy Birthday! as today is her birthday! WooHoo! **I just stumbled across this today and think both the concept and content are phenominal Humble Indie Bundle. It's only good for one more day, or so the site claims, but I have a hunch that something like this will totally show up again after the resounding success it has been sofar. It's cool news amid all the depressing developments that I've been seeing around the web regarding the internet I was over at TorrentFreak and the majority of the stories are all about how this site or that site are getting slapped with legal problems because goverments are too lame to understand the value of technology It's pretty disheartening really. **I've been experiencing a lot of pain in my right elbow that I believe is related to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.. not pleased about this at all .. Been trying some AIS (active isolated stretching) exercises ..hopefully that helps **Planning on visiting Boston tomorrow to check out some of the comic/game stores (million year picnic, newbury, pandemonium, complete strategist) and maybe get some Harpoon Root Beer at Queen's Head Pub in Cambridge! Woo! Hopefully that rain doesn't show itself like last weekend and blow up my plans **Got some great news from my sister that hopefully I'll be free to freely announce to the webs soon

-- April 5, 2010, 10:56pm -- ANIME BOSTON 2010
**My friend Corrine and I went to Anime Boston 2010 just for Saturday to check it out... Last year we had a pretty good time, and thought it might be worth it again. I just uploaded pictures from the day (only took a few) Anime Boston 2010. Sadly it was not as fun as the previous year. Many of the panels were unintersting to us. The ones that did look good we hours away - which we waited and waited for. And even when some of the started - some were craptacular ... A bit of a letdown, however their artist alley was Terrific as usual! I got a very sweet Mouse Tai Chi poster from http://www.learnmousestyle.com. Corrine picked up some sweet comics from an author she found last year. Overall we rated this year about a 'C' ...

-- March 19, 2010, 3:04pm -- MARCH UPDATE
**So I'm sadly still working on getting all the spare PC's in my room cleaned up and cleared out.. I'd probably be all set at this point if I it wasn't for this one stupid motherboard
originally a DELL motherboard for a Pentium 1Ghz processor, it's refused to Post no matter what I try.. I tried different power supplies, ram/no-ram, various video cards .. absolutely squat.. I even pulled it from the case as you can see so that I could check on the diagnostic LED's they come with for the board (instead of beep-codes) .. no lights whatsoever
I think it's dead for all intents 'n purposes. Unfortunately this was to be the motherboard for the PC that I was going to keep as a backup Fat lot of good that does me. So now I'm left trying to figure out what to do.. Do I keep one of the other PC's instead? Do I use the old AOpen AK77 600 MAX board that I upgraded from and just look for a new Athlon XP processer?!? Decisions, decisions.
It's rather frustrating as I was hoping to get rid of these a whole lot faster, and thus be a whole lot closer to getting myself a netbook.
**So a few days ago I turned 30. The Big 3-0. Another decade of my life on God's green earth gone. I'd like to think the past decade of my life has been probably the best yet. Even though I'm a lot more beatup physically and mentally, I think I have a lot more control over my life - a lot more freedom. I think I'll take that freedom over the innocence of youth anyday. Some thing about childhood were certainly great, make no mistake - but for the most part, the pressure I imposed upon myself and the lack of freedom I had are things I'm very happy to no longer have. Here's looking towards the best decade yet. (I hope).
**PAX will be next weekend. As I type this, I just got an email saying that my tickets to see the Freezepop concert have been printed and will be mailed to me shortly. Good to hear. Sofar I'm almost more exicted to see the concert than I am to see any of the other stuff at PAX. I hope it lives up to all the hype. DragonCon certainly did.
**As you can also see, I've joined twitter.com ... I decided it made sense to link it from my site as well. I've been updating there instead of facebook ... mainly so I don't bother a certain friend of mine, which I was afraid I might if I was appearing on their update list.
